BEEF STEW – Wonderful Beef

Ingredients (4 people)

  • 500 g Spanish beef Flank
  • 200 g Carrot
  • 3 pcs Lemongrass
  • 50 g Spring onion
  • 70 g Ginger
  • 3 g Star Anise
  • 5 g Cinnamon
  • 10 g Beef stew spice mix
  • 20 g Annatto oil
  • 10 g Chili
  • 30 g White wine
  • 20 g Tapioca
  • Spices: Salt, sugar, black pepper, MSG

1. Preparation: Peel carrots, then cut carrots and beef into 3cm-side cubes. Marinate beef with salt, pepper, sugar, annatto oil and beef stew spices. Mix well and let the meat sit for 1 hour.
2. Crush lemongrass and cut them into 10cm pieces. Slice ginger into thin sheets. Grill star anise and cinnamon.
3. Fry shallots, garlics with a small amount of cooking oil. Add the marinated beed and stir fry the mixture. When the meat is firm, add 1 liter of water and continue cooking until the beef becomes tender (around 1 hour). Add carrot and cook for another 10 minutes.
4. Stir tapioca with water and add the mixture to the beef stew. Stir well to make the soup slightly thicken.
Mix salt, black pepper, lime juice to make the sauce, serve the sauce together with the beef stew.
