After more than a year and a half since the first confirmed cases of COVID19 in the city of Wuhan (China) and after a 2020 marked by a pandemic that has paralysed almost entirely the economic activity, we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel thanks to the fast progress of vaccination.
In 2020, Spanish and European beef exports have been declining, mainly, as a consequence of the impact of the downturn experienced by the HORECA sector worldwide and to the slackening global demand within that market segment.
However, in the first half of 2021, a rebounding in the Spanish and European beef exports to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Vietnam and Japan can be seen. These figures exceed the ones recorded in 2020 -except for the UAE- and they are all higher than the ones recorded in the same period of 2019, straight before the COVID19 pandemic outbreak.
