From June 24th to 29th, six top professionals Japanese buyers from meat sector visited several Spanish farms, slaughterhouses and cutting plants in order to increase the awareness about the qualities of European Beef.
Throughout 6 days of trip, the group visited several Spanish farms, slaughterhouses and cutting plants, enjoying the taste of our European beef in the best restaurants. They visited leading Spanish beef companies in the regions of Salamanca, Segovia, Valencia and Madrid.
The Japanese buyers were able to observe the first step of the European production model, appreciating animal welfare and becoming more deeply aware of the feeding and growth process. Among all the knowledge learned, the professionals highlighted the safety and quality of European beef from Spain, which follows strict and safe production standards, both qualities highly valued in the Japanese market.
Due to this mission, the importers have very good predictions about the collaboration with the Spanish industry. This initiative was made possible thanks to a program financed by the European Union, What Wonderful European Beef 2.0, which supports European beef companies in promoting and selling European beef.
